Events Week 2027

Aim

We are fundraising for the University of York Christian Union’s annual events week.

Events Week
Our aim is to talk to students at the University of York and share the good news! We hold an annual “events week” where we invite speakers to hold talks, Q&As and engage with students.

This year as part of our efforts to fundraise, we as a committee will be taking on a list of forfeits at every miles stone we hit!

The following forfeits will be divided among all the members of the committee:

£50 - Committee gets pied

£100 - Wheelbarrow race across campus

£150 - TikTok Dance #1

£200 - Hot Chip Challenge

£250 - Run a 5k in a bin bag

£300 - TikTok Dance #2

£350 - Wear stick-on moustaches for a day

£400 - Guys get their legs waxed

£450 - Bring ingredients to the CU summer ball for the committee to drink in a smoothie

£500 - For an entire day, anyone at any time can approach a committee member and get them to do 10 push-ups.

£600 - Food thrown at the committee 

£700 - Girls dye their hair pink for a day

£800 - Guys get mullets

£900 - Committee gets eyebrow slits

£1000 - Decide what the committee wears to the summer ball (nothing inappropriate)
