The Porch Oxford Half 2026

Aim

To raise vital funds for The Porch, a seven-day service supporting people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in Oxford.

For 40 years, The Porch has supported people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in Oxford, providing practical help, dignity, and a sense of community. What began as a response to urgent local need has grown into a seven-days-a-week service supporting hundreds of people each year.

We provide:

• Warm nutritious meals
• Housing and employment support
• A shower facility
• Clothing provisions
• Laundry services
• An IT suite
• Green space therapy at our allotments
• Rest room

Every person who walks through our doors brings their own story, strengths and challenges. Our role is to provide a welcoming space where people feel seen, respected and supported to move forward at their own pace.

This year marks an exciting new chapter for us. For the first time, The Porch is taking part in the Oxford Half Marathon with a dedicated team of runners, each taking on 13.1 miles to help raise vital funds and awareness for our work. As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, our campaign theme, “From Frontline to Finish Line,” reflects both the daily support we provide at the frontline of homelessness in Oxford and the incredible efforts of our runners crossing the finish line in support of our community.
