DoItForBrodie has been established to make a positive and sustained impact on young people’s mental health and wellbeing. Created from a mother’s deep and binding love after tragically losing her only child - Brodie (who was such an extraordinary young woman) to suicide in March 2020.
DoItForBrodie exists to research, develop and deliver new and effective ways of reaching young people who are struggling with their mental health in a non threatening, non clinical way, enabling them to feel understood. It is vital that young people are aware of where to reach out for support.
During the past five years, Emma (Brodie’s Mum) has immersed herself into making a positive difference to young people and their families for mental health and wellbeing. She has carried out various fundraising and awareness missions for the charities PAPYRUS (Prevention of Young Suicide) and Riders Minds, raising around £100,000 in total.
Alongside all of the fundraising and awareness that Emma has worked so hard for, she has also been working alongside a great team of directors in creating a Community Interest Company in Brodie’s memory we are delighted to announce that DoItForBrodie C.I.C has recently been incorporated through Companies House.
