Tonic Needs Your Support – August is nearly here!
With Brighton Pride just around the corner, we’re gearing up to take part in the parade for the third year in a row—and we need your help to get there.
Tonic is a Brighton-based social group for gay men and those who identify with gay male culture who want to connect without the pressure of alcohol or drugs. Since launching, we’ve grown into a thriving community of 210 members, offering everything from coffee mornings and monthly roasts to sober dance nights, sports, and theatre trips.
Our presence in the Brighton Pride Parade is more than just a party—it’s a lifeline of visibility for those who didn’t know groups like ours existed.
Why We’re Fundraising
Taking part in Pride is a highlight of the year for many of our members. It’s a joyful, affirming, and sometimes emotional day—for some, it’s their very first Pride sober.
But making it happen isn’t cheap. We’re urgently raising funds to help cover:

Why It Matters
Last year, our float helped 50 new members find us in the weeks after Pride. That’s 50 people who realised they weren’t alone. That there is a space to connect, dance, laugh, and belong—without needing to drink to fit in.
This year, we want to go even bigger, brighter, and bolder—showing the world that sober doesn’t mean boring. But we’re now just three weeks away, and we need your help to get over the finish line.
