I am raising money to fund more intergenerational music sessions, publish a Kindness Connection children’s picture book and record an album.
This is The Kindness Connection.
We bring children and older people together through joyful, interactive music sessions in care homes and community spaces. Our sessions are playful and gentle, designed so everyone can join in.
For older adults, especially those living in care homes, these moments of shared music can be deeply powerful. Singing together can lift mood, reduce feelings of loneliness, and awaken memories that might otherwise stay hidden. Being with children brings a sense of purpose, connection and joy.
For children, these sessions offer something just as special. They learn empathy, patience and kindness by forming real relationships with older people. Through music, they gain confidence, communication skills and a sense of belonging to their community.
Music becomes the bridge.
Again and again, we see barriers dissolve: age, ability, memory and mobility fade into the background as we make music together.
Your support will help grow this project - we want to publish a picture book and record an album that will enable more homes to link with families, creating ripples of kindness in more towns. Applying for funding is very competitive and many funders will only fund projects that have part funded their project already. This is where your help comes in.
