We are raising money for Welcome Wheels so that they can provide refugees & asylum seekers in Norwich with bikes, training & equipment.
On Friday 17th June we will be joining schools across the county to mark A Day of Welcome. This is a day of solidarity and learning in schools, an accompaniment to Refugee Week, which aims to build a culture of welcome and understanding for refugees and asylum seekers.
As part of our activities for the day, our pupils are invited to come to school in green and/or yellow (or any other non-school uniform) and to make a voluntary contribution to our chosen charity. This year we are raising money for Welcome Wheels - a Norwich initiative which provides refurbished second-hand bicycles, helmets, locks, lights and cycle training, to newly resettled refugees and asylum seekers in Norwich.

As a school we are aiming to raise £150. This money would support Welcome Wheels in providing newly arrived sanctuary seekers with second hand bikes that have been fully repaired and refurbished with new parts, including mudguards and good quality tyres.
