Last year, the money donated to the PTAF was used to buy science equipment, maths resources, phonics books, art supplies, football kit and musical instruments, as well as to pay for enrichment activities like the African Dance workshops, Owl experience, Explorer Dome, Graffiti Art, World Book Day author visit, Eid treats and the two school concerts.
The PTAF also bought a mobile PA system, microphones and speakers for the school last year.
This year we want to revitalise the main playground with fun, colourful, educational and imaginative thermoplastic playground markings, as well as to create an outdoor quiet space.
The thermoplastic hard-wearing and long-lasting markings could include traditional games such as hopscotch and snakes and ladders, 'mirror-me' and speed trails, sports pitch markings, creative and themed spaces and educational markings such as multiplication squares.
There are a few examples below, but there are many more online.
We will hold a consultation - at the end of May once we know how much we raise - where all children, parents, carers and staff will be able to vote for which markings they would like included.
The markings range in price from roughly £50 for noughts and crosses grid, £150 for a hopscotch, or £250 for a football dribble skills trail to £535 for a football pitch or a £1,005 for a full multiplication square or a play road markings design.
Every single donation will help towards our goal and will be very much appreciated. And if your family or your business are able to donate to cover the cost of a particular design completely and would like a complete list, please contact Trucie directly by emailing [email protected].
Every donation will count to make our children's play space more engaging and fun, encouraging them to explore and play outdoors.
thank you!
