Aim
The fantastic facilities are for all the members and the whole community to enjoy. They are expensive to maintain but are completely open.
The club in the heart of the community is for all. People of all ages enjoy the sport and social activities every week.
Maintaining the fields and facilities is expensive and we aim to provide decent pitches and facilities for the sporting sections. There are well over 500 people who regularly use the facilities, from 4 to 70 years old both male and female.
The site is currently open, without any perimeter fence allowing anyone and everyone to walk onto the grounds.
Unfortunately, we regularly experience acts of vandalism as we don't have a secure site.
- Furniture damaged and destroyed.
- Glasses and bottles smashed.
- Floodlights deliberately smashed.
- Fires lit on our grounds.
- Rugby Dug outs vandalised and destroyed
- Football Dug outs vandalised and destroyed.
- Physical damage to property.
This has cost the club thousands of pounds in the last year.
On many occasions we have also found spent gas canisters and used hypodermics.
Our aim is to put an 8 ft mesh security fence around the perimeter of the grounds so at least when we are closed there is some protection.
