Protecting and Interpreting Metro Car 4020

I am raising money for a charitable cause that is very important to me so please donate and help me reach my target in aid of {the North East Land, Sea and Air Museum Anything you can contribute towards helping me achieve my target will be massively appreciated.

Metro Car 4020 is one of only two Type 599 Metro Units to be preserved and arrived at the museum at the end of June 2026 after 46 years service.  The train was used as part of the Royal opening of the network.in 1981 . This fundraiser is to provide a set of protection tents for the unit and to build safe access.  This will allow the Metro unit to be opened for guided access for schools and visitors

Each tent costs £7,500 and the safe access provision will cost £5,000

If the target is reached this will provide protection from weather and third party interference, such as graffiti, and allows schools access from early 2027.

It is panned to extend the building next to the train and develop a Metro Experience over the next 3 years
