I have been creating films for around three years and I feel like every project I work on I am always learning something new. It is my greatest passion and it allows me to collaborate with like-minded people to create something magical. The YFA (Young Film Academy) program has played such a vital role in my development as a visual story teller, inspiring me to take the next steps in my career as a filmmaker, especially with the YFA summer course where I got to create a film with a group of passionate young filmmakers.
I have been hand picked out of hundreds of YFA filmmakers to be part of Project Paradiso were I will be sent to Sicily with 24 filmmakers to create an amazing short film at a professional standard. Filmmaking opportunities such as this are so rare for young people and having this opportunity may be one of the most important moments of my career.
The ways in which this project will springboard my career as a filmmaker are endless. Not only will I be filming on Netflix standard cameras, but I will be working on a team with some of the most passionate young filmmakers from around the world. Having a professional piece of work which will be screened at countless festivals is an opportunity to get my name known as a filmmaker. The money raised will allow me and the rest of the team to take professional gear out to Sicily so we can create the film to the highest level.
