The Project aims to internally upgrade the current breeze block male/female toilets to provide a modern, pleasant and hygienic facility.
Who are we?Ainsdale Bowling Club has celebrated its 56th year on its current site. We are a thriving club having 120 members and supporting 16 teams playing in the afternoon and evenings in local leagues. Members also enjoy social bowling throughout the week, the Club providing a safe environment to meet and enjoy sport, relax in the award winning garden surrounds, enhancing both their physical and mental well being. The Green also is part of the annual Ainsdale submission for Britain in Bloom, and this year the Green was awarded an outstanding level by the judges.
We are part of a wider not for profit Community Amateur Sports Club (The Ainsdale Club) providing sporting and leisure facilities for the local community.

We are crowdfunding to internally improve our toilet facilities which currently are of a painted breezeblock construction, built a number of years ago, with open trusses and single light bulb. The current facility whilst functional is looking very tired, dated and needs to be upgraded to provide pleasant, modern day facilities for members and visitors to the Green.
The Club supporting 16 weekly teams together with its membership, realises weekly foot traffic of 200 plus and given refreshments are provided, there is a demand for such facilities. Improved facilities will add to the overall experience of members/visitors to the Bowling Green
The Club apart from also holding a full schedule of member competitions is being used for external inter-town and championship matches so the provision of first class facilities is paramount to secure its long term position as a premier club in the area.
We are asking for your help to raise £7500 to help pay for new modern hygienic toilets. Sport England have made a conditional grant of £3750 which we will receive if we can raise a further £3750 through crowdfunding. If we can do that we will achieve our target and the project will proceed.
If you're applying for extra funding, this is a good place to demonstrate why your project is eligible so refer back to the criteria to help complete this section

All the money raised including the Sport England award will be used to internally upgrade the male/female toilet facilities. Any surplus will go to support the bowling club in maintaining the condition of the green and its surrounds.

Community impactWe are a friendly and community focused club. We are run solely by volunteers who give time, energy and knowledge to ensure the club is run smoothly. We are passionate about the community and of course bowls!!
Our aim is to continue to grow the Club, providing a safe environment with appropriate facilities, making it accessible and an enjoyable experience for all.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
