Progressay Impact - Fitness for Girls Football

Aim

Our project empowers young girls through football promoting physical health, skill development, and confidence.

Who are we?

Progressay Impact was set up by local teachers in the aftermath of the tragic Grenfell fire to help support disadvantaged people from Kensington and Chelsea.

Our mission is to enhance social mobility by providing support in reference to our triple E model:

1) Education: Through our tutoring, we have successfully supported hundreds of children and young people succeed in their exams and improve in their Maths and English.

2) Exercise: We offer a range of physical activities to keep young people active in the community including Football and Taekwondo.

3) Enterprise: We support our young people by offering work experience with partner organisations and opportunities to learn about further education options they may have. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are crowdfunding for this project to secure the funds to sustain our football fitness program for young girls. Crowdfunding allows us to engage the community, raise awareness, and gather support from individuals who share our vision of empowering young girls through sports. By contributing to this campaign, you can help us provide essential resources such as qualified coaches, training equipment, and safe facilities, ensuring our program can have a lasting, positive impact on young girls and promote a more active lifestyle.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We will spend the money raised through crowdfunding to ensure the successful implementation and sustainability of our football fitness program for young girls. We have already been successful in raising funding through the Sport England Movement Fund, if successful, they will match fund our crowdfunding campaign. Here is a detailed breakdown of how the funds will be allocated:

1. Staff Costs

• Coaches and Trainers
  • Paying qualified coaches to conduct training sessions and mentor participants.
• Admin Staff
  • Covering administrative tasks such as participant registration and communication.
• Project Manager
  • Overseeing the project implementation, managing the budget, and coordinating with all team members.

2. Facility Pitch Hire

• Training Venues
  • Renting local sports centres for training sessions.

Community impact

Progressay Impact positively influences our community through a variety of initiatives designed to empower and inspire our children and young people. As well as providing Tutoring, Football and Taekwondo other ways we have impacted the community include:

Trips to Chelsea FC providing our participants with unique, inspiring experiences, offering behind-the-scenes tours, player meet-and-greets, and insights into professional sports. These trips ignited passion and ambition, showing our young people the possibilities within the world of football.

Our Impact Writers Club Project has inspired our young people through literacy, creativity, and self-expression. By guiding participants through the process of writing and publishing their very own books, we enhanced their critical thinking and communication skills, providing a platform for their voices to be heard.

Additionally, we emphasize education and further education. We also provide work experience opportunities, collaborating with local businesses to help participants gain practical skills and career insights, preparing them for future success.

Overall, Progressay Impact creates a supportive, enriching environment that promotes physical, intellectual, and personal growth, contributing to the development of confident, well-rounded individuals who are equipped to make positive contributions to their community.

This project successfully funded on 2nd October 2024
