The Cause
At Home-Start Wessex, we support families with young children who are going through challenging times in Dorset. Our aim is to give every child the best possible start in life by supporting their parents when they need it most.
We work alongside families who may be struggling with:
- Mental health challenges, including postnatal depression
- Loneliness and isolation
- Financial pressures
- Illness, disability, or bereavement
- Domestic abuse or family breakdown
- Multiple births
Our trained volunteers provide regular, friendly support in the home, offering a listening ear, practical help, and reassurance. We also run welcoming family groups where parents can connect, build confidence, and feel less alone.

- Provide one-to-one support for parents who feel overwhelmed
- Reduce isolation and improve mental wellbeing

How to Enter
- To enter, participants can purchase prize draw entries via this Crowdfunder campaign. Entrants may enter as many times as they like.
- Free entry is also available by post. See the prize draw page for the free entry postal address.

These terms and conditions refer to our online prize draw.
- No person under 18 years of age allowed to buy tickets.
- There are no refunds. Any entries received after the closing date will be treated as donations.
- A random number generator is used to select prize draw prize winners. Prizes will be allocated in order of the tickets being drawn from the first prize down to the last one.
- Prize Draw will be drawn on Tuesday 2nd of June 2026. The winners will be notified by phone and/or email within 3 days of the draw date.
- All profits from the prize draw will go towards supporting families at Home-Start Wessex.
