The aim is to raise funds to support Caribbean families in need, and then expand to other continents of the world.
Prisca’s passage is a self funded programme by the granddaughter of Prisca. The programme aims to support families in need of help and support 1 barrel at a time. Prisca is now 93 years old, however her story would have been similar to others in this current day. Prisca was born and raised in Saint Lucia and migrated to the UK in her early 20’s, leaving 3 children behind whilst pregnant with her 4th. Prisca went on to have 9 children in total but unfortunately was widowed at 40.
Inspired by Priscas story the aim is to create better outcomes through helping those who need it the most. The programme began in 2020 and has so far shipped barrels of food, clothes toiletries and cleaning products to the most under developed area of Saint Lucia. As mentioned, the plans are to expand to other islands and then other continents.
Currently the highest costs are shipping and export, plus funds for barel items. All help will be appreciated.
