(Screen)Printing Positive Change

Aim

We are raising funds for the equipment and costs required to set up and run our own Screen-Printing Workshop space in Sheffield City Centre.

The Archer Project has a proven history of transforming the lives of the vulnerable and homeless from Sheffield and the wider region. We are integral to the community of ostracised people who most need help and understanding. 

Printed by Us is one of our most valued parts of our Charity. We are a social enterprise that employs people, in a supported environment, who have experienced homelessness and overcome similar adversities.

We believe there is hope and a way forward for every person. We use the craft of screen-printing to give opportunities for vulnerable people to learn new skills, build confidence and thrive within themselves.

For the past 8 years we have utilised local workshops to home-in our craft to screen-print artwork, progressing to garments in recent years. The natural evolution of our project is to bring the workshop space in-house to facilitate more learning and development opportunities for our team.  

We are crowdfunding to raise money for our equipment and costs. The funds raised will go towards allowing us to further develop our supported employment opportunities to vulnerable people, by teaching new skills and crafts and allowing room for experimentation.

By bringing the workshop space in-house, this will also allow us to diversify our offer through the facilitation of group workshops, passing on the skills our team have learnt to the wider Sheffield community. By creating a culture of greater learning our team will be more resilient to deal with the challenges they face, they'll build their transferable skills and confidence, as they move towards greater employability.
