Project Sunshine needs you! Help us raise money for an epic outdoor resources that Prestwood school children will love for years to come!

Project Sunshine: A New Adventure Playground, Forest School Shelter and Outdoor exercise machines for Prestwood Village Schools

We are a group of local parents and community volunteers on a mission to raise £50,000 to fund an exciting new outdoor adventure playground, outdoor gym equipment and a Forest School Shelter for the children of Prestwood Village Schools.

For more than two years, the school’s old playground equipment has stood condemned and taped off... Every day, children walk past an area that should be full of laughter, confidence, imagination and adventure. All other local schools have outdoor gym equipment and we want to give our children the same experience. The Forest School shelter will ensure all children from both schools will be able to take part in Forest School activities, outside, come rain or shine, throughout the school year!

Our vision is to create a magnificent new climbing frame and activity area that will inspire active play, friendship, confidence and fun for years to come. A place where children can climb, balance, explore, challenge themselves and make happy memories together.

Outdoor play is so important for children’s physical health, mental wellbeing and social development. At a time when many children are spending more time indoors and on screens, we want to give them something truly special outside.

This is about far more than playground equipment. It is about investing in our children, our school and our community.

The amazing thing is: if lots of people give a little, we can achieve something enormous together.

Whether it is:

• £5 from a local family
• £20 from grandparents
• sponsorship from local businesses
• fundraising challenges from children
• or larger community donations

Every single contribution brings us one step closer to realising our goal!

We would love local businesses to get involved and help leave a lasting legacy for the children of Prestwood. Together, we can create something the whole community can feel proud of.
