Prank of the Year: How Many Rubber Ducks?

Aim

We raise funds to ship a glorious army of rubber ducks into Devon, buying them wholesale to reduce the cost per backer.

What is this?

This is the big one. This is a simple yet devious prank that I hope catches on. The concept is simple, buy as many rubber ducks as we can, divide them equally among the project backers (£2+) and on the last day of school bring on the army of ducks. Put them in toilets and sinks and swimming pools, and drawers and boxes and cupboards and on doors and roofs and desks and gym equipment. Honestly you guys will be way more creative than me. Think of what you could do if everyone in your year had like 20 bright yellow rubber ducks to place. With honestly not much funding per person this could be huge. Like national news huge.

Why this Prank?

This prank is innocent at it's core. No one will get hurt, nothing gets broken or vandalised and schools can't get too mad at the students. That being said, it's funny, simple (kinda), cheap and convinent for students. The best part: It is really, really, really inconvinent for the schools. I mean, bringing in twenty ducks is easy for each student. A school with one hundered leavers? That school has to find and clear out two thousand tiny, adorable rubber ducks. That's if we can only get 20 ducks per person. With every over genourous backer or leaver with awesome parents that number increases.

It's also easy to collaborate with your friends. A group of 6 friends has 120 ducks. Enough to put on all the chairs in the a few classrooms. A car of 5 mates can toss 100 ducks out of the boot on the driveways and parking spaces. Every room in the school will have dozens of ducks in it. You can act out your favorite movie scene or fill up a swimming pool at a small cost and little inconvinence.

This sale ends on the 31st March 2018. Because of transaction time we have to have to close this deadline before that to place the order and ship the ducks to places they can be distributed best. We can still buy more ducks after that but at a much steeper price. We want to get the most duck for our buck so we'll end the first deadline at 8:20pm on the 25th March. Another deadline will be set up for later backers but the minimumn price will increase accordingly.

How many Ducks will I get?

This depends on how many ducks we can afford. Every Shipment of 5,000 ducks will cost 709$ or about £514. This is just over 10p per Duck. So at a safe minimumn if 257 leavers donate £2 to the cause each leaver gets 19 ducks. Crowdfunding also deducts some percentage of the funds too but at a minumumn we're expecting everyone to get about 20 ducks.

So to summarise, if you - the people - get at least 257 people to fund £2 to this project, each one of you gets 20 ducks. If we get 1000 backers of £2, Devon schools are looking at 20,000 rubber ducks to deal with.

How will you get the ducks to me?

This is the tricky part. Ideally one member from each school could manage the distribution of ducks for that school. This person would need to have the space for a box of ducks and a way of getting them to everyone they're responsible for. If any absolute legends are up for it contact me with through crowdfunding and tell me how you're going to distribute the ducks.
