Help StAndEN deliver climate and anti-poverty projects across Fife, cutting carbon, reducing hardship and strengthening communities.

Who are we, and what is our project about?
St Andrews Environmental Network (StAndEN) is an award-winning charity creating practical solutions to some of the biggest challenges facing communities today: poverty, climate change, isolation and poor wellbeing.
We believe environmental action should help people now. That means warmer homes, lower bills, affordable household essentials, better access to nature, greener neighbourhoods and stronger communities.
Every year, we support thousands of people across Fife through trusted local services, including reuse, energy advice, wellbeing projects, environmental improvement and education.
This project will provide vital core funding to keep these services running and growing under the Climate Action theme. It supports practical carbon reduction while ensuring nobody is left behind.
Our impact includes:
Why are we crowdfunding?
Demand for our support continues to rise.
Families need help with energy bills. People facing crisis need household essentials. Disabled residents and visitors need free access to nature. Communities need trusted local organisations that can turn climate ambition into practical action.
Like many charities, funding for core delivery costs is increasingly difficult to secure, yet these costs are what keep frontline help available.
By backing this campaign, you help keep proven services open, responsive and ready when people need them most.
How we’ll spend the money raised
Funds will directly support the running costs that make our projects possible, including:
Every pound raised helps unlock more impact across multiple projects.
I joined St Andrews Environmental Network in 2015 in a frontline role, long before becoming Chief Executive. I have seen this work up close, in people’s homes, in our community spaces, and in the quiet moments that rarely make headlines.
I have met families who had nothing until our reuse team arrived. I have seen older residents frightened to turn the heating on until one of our advisors helped reduce their bills. I have watched people reach the beach again through our wheelchair service after believing those days were behind them. I have seen confidence return, dignity restored and hope rebuilt through practical support.
What moves me most is that often it is the small things that matter most. A warm room. Something to cook on. A first trip (or indeed, last) onto the sand in years. Someone is taking the time to help.
We are a small charity, but every day I see the difference committed local action can make. With your support, we can continue standing beside people when they need it most, while building a fairer and greener future for all.
