We're still collecting donations
On the 28th June 2023 we'd raised £16,110 with 120 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We're fundraising to cover the cost of upgraded power supply cabling into the Halkyn Road Football Ground

On the 28th June 2023 we'd raised £16,110 with 120 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
If we are fortunate enough to raise above our target, we will use the additional money to repair the roadway into the stadium.
We are Holywell Town Football Club, a JD Cymru North Club based in Flintshire, we run a development squad, we have a junior section of 150 across all age groups and this month will launch a Girls development section.
Our first team were runners up in this years JD Cymru North with a support base of regular attendances of 400 plus.
We are based at the Achieve More Training Stadium on Halkyn Road in the town. The ground is also used for Welsh Schools Representative Football matches & educational provision, and has hosted Flintshire Junior league finals in recent seasons.
We currently operate near our limit of electricity supply, which means that to develop our stadium to provide spectators and visitors with a better facilities (refreshment outlets, more lighting and heating etc) we need to upgrade our supply to 138 kVA/200Amps, from it's existing 69kVA/100 Amp supply.
This work involves Scottish Power Energy Networks running upgraded cables from our nearest substation across two over head spans and burying the new cables underground for approx 40m. A new supply board for the clubhouse is also required.
The improvement will further enable us to make further non football related, daily use of our clubhouse & open up opportunities for renewable energy installations & thereby improve the club's carbon footprint.
By reducing the environmental impact of the club, it can help to promote a cleaner and healthier environment for everyone, making the sport more inclusive and enjoyable for all.
Maintaining and improving sustainability of the club can also increase accessibility to the sport. For example, by using renewable energy, the club can reduce its energy costs, which can help to keep ticket prices affordable for fans.
By promoting sustainability, the club can encourage people to make positive changes in their own lives, such as reducing waste or using public transportation. This can help to promote social and environmental justice, and support the tackling of inequalities.
The clubhouse at the ground has played a major part in the club's sustainability in recent years. The capability to take that further and provide a facility used regularly by the local community is dependant on a reliable power upgrade. In recent years the clubhouse has been used for Christmas dinners for dementia sufferers, a rehearsal room for local bands, and hosted family music festivals, presentation evenings and much more. We'd love to be able to do more.
