To raise money for a community 3G pitch and stadium upgrades.
Help Portland United Build a Future for Our Island
From grassroots football to the Southern League — now we need our community behind us.
Portland United has always been about more than football.
We are a club built by the people of the Isle of Portland, for the people of the Isle of Portland. Our players, volunteers, coaches, supporters and families all share something incredibly important: a belief in what our community can achieve when we come together.
Following our promotion to the Southern League, the club is entering an exciting new chapter. But with that opportunity comes a huge challenge.
We are raising funds to help develop our new stadium, including the installation of a 3G pitch and essential ground improvements. This isn't simply an investment in a football club — it is an investment in the future of the entire island.
A place for Portland's young people
At the heart of this project are the young people of Portland.
We want every child and young person on the island to have somewhere they can play, train, make friends, build confidence and feel part of something.
A high-quality 3G pitch would allow football to be played far more regularly, throughout the year and in all but the worst weather. It would give our youth teams a reliable home and create opportunities for more children to get involved in the sport.
But the benefits go beyond football.
Sport gives young people somewhere to belong. It teaches teamwork, resilience, responsibility and confidence. It brings different generations together and gives children positive role models and something to be proud of.
We want Portland United to become a place where a child can start playing football at a young age and dream of one day walking out for the first team.
A stadium for the whole island
Our vision doesn't stop with the pitch.
We want our new stadium to become a genuine community hub for the Isle of Portland — a place where people come together, not just on matchdays, but throughout the week.
A better facility can provide opportunities for local schools, youth groups, community organisations and other sports. It can create somewhere for events, activities and initiatives that bring people together.
And as the club progresses into the Southern League, we want to bring more visitors to Portland, encourage people to spend time locally and showcase everything our island has to offer.
This is a chance to create something that Portland can be proud of.
This is our opportunity
Promotion to the Southern League is a huge moment for Portland United. It is recognition of the hard work of our players, coaches, volunteers and supporters.
But we don't want promotion to simply mean playing at a higher level.
We want it to mean building something lasting.
Something that gives our youngsters better opportunities.
Something that strengthens community spirit.
Something that provides a home for local football.
Something that future generations can inherit and continue to grow.
The reality is that projects like this cost money, and we cannot do it alone.
That's why we are asking the people of Portland, former residents, supporters, local businesses and anyone who believes in what community sport can achieve to help us make this vision a reality.
Every donation, no matter how large or small, will make a difference.
If you can donate, thank you.
If you can share our campaign, thank you.
If you can volunteer, sponsor us or simply tell someone about what we are trying to achieve, thank you.
Because this isn't just about building a 3G pitch.
It's about building opportunities.
It's about building community.
It's about building a future for Portland.
Let's make our new stadium a place where the whole island can come together — and give the next generation of Portlanders somewhere to play, belong and dream.
Come and be part of the journey.
Portland United. One club. One island. One community.
