Aim
Install a purpose made 1.2m perimeter fence around the children's playing area to safeguard health and safety from exposure to dog fouling
Our community football pitch is at the heart of local grassroots sport, used weekly by children aged 4-12 and adults who share a passion for the game. The space is also used for community fitness classes and a weekly youth club.
Unfortunately, one ongoing problem is putting all users at risk and damaging the quality of our facilities: dog fouling.
Despite our best efforts to keep the pitch clean and safe, dog walkers continue to use the field, leaving behind waste that creates serious health hazards for young players and spoils the experience for everyone. Our amazing volunteer coaches spend time before every training and match looking for and picking up dog waste to ensure children can play safely - this is not acceptable.
After 5 years of doing this, enough is enough - we’re now raising funds to install a secure 1.2m high perimeter fence around the pitch.
This fence will:
- Protect all users of the space from the dangers of dog fouling.
- Improve the quality and safety of all types of training and football matches.
- Safeguard the long-term future of grassroots football in our community.
Every donation, big or small, will go directly towards creating a safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable football environment for all.
