We need a portable de fib for our team. As cardiac arrest can affect children as much as adults. You only have minutes to save a life
Our main aim is to help the children keep fit, learn respect and values, learn about healthy eating and how to work as part of a team. But also we make sure that they understand about how important it is that it’s not always about the winning it’s about the taking part. We include all abilities and genders. We also welcome children with learning difficulties too.
Most of the children come from deprived areas where there is nothing available for the children to be able to enjoy the love of football, so we started our own team solely ran by parents for the children. The Volunteer team consists of 3 dads (all coaches), 2 Mums (secretaries) but all parents of each child is involved in all our ideas, training and are proactive in ensuring the children enjoy the game of football , but also encourages the to build good strong friendships.
We don't see ourselves as a football team but as a big family and we are passionate about giving the children the best attitude towards sports.
We are fundraising for a portable de fib machine that we can take to matches and training. It will be available not just for team but for spectators. This could save someone’s life. the biggest problem is where our matches and training is the closest De fib is at least 10 minutes away from the venues. Hopefully we never have to use it but Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at anytime, Having a de fib pitch side can double even triple survival chances.
