Aim
Our aim is to turn this empty unit into a space where we can give small businesses a high street platform under one roof.

Wow! We can’t believe how well this is doing already! Eternally grateful to all that have supported us and believe in our project. Back in 2017 we saw all our hard work come together for our first market, three years on and many many markets later it has taken a natural progression into the form of a store! We can finally open a (warmer) more permanent spot for our lovely, creative and hard working sellers. This is what hard work, an amazing support base and working with indie businesses is all about!
We are Adele, Carly and Steph. We met three years ago through our individual small businesses. We also subsequently started a partnership where we put on artisan markets in our local area as we believe in small businesses, we are passionate about supporting local and we knew that together we could create a community of like minded people. Each year we organise, set up and take part in these markets within the Milton Keynes intu shopping centre. This gives small businesses somewhere to showcase their work offline and within the community in which they are based.
Over the years we have built an amazing relationship with intu Milton Keynes and they have given us an opportunity to take our markets to the next level with a pop up shop inside one of their incredible units. For us and the small businesses we work with this is a dream come true! Individually we would not get the chance to have our very own shop but together we can.
With your support we can get this off the ground. The money raised by our crowdfunder backers will help towards fittings and fixtures needed to display items, signage, visual merchandising, marketing & help pay staff that will be working within the shop.
An empty unit is a sad sight for any high street, instead of sitting empty we can use this an as opportunity to inject some culture. Our vision is for this to not only be a place to shop but an experience. With a cake and coffee shop run by the fabulous Oh My Cakery, who has become known for her sell out cake Friday's. We will have sellers creating their products live in store and the opportunity to take part in weekly workshops.
The Indie Collective Pop Up Shop will be a place customers can indulge in a completely unique shopping experience all under one roof, helping to save retail and providing physical support for not only the high street but also independent makers and creators whilst also creating part time jobs for the local community during the busy festive period.
