Help them get started
Your support makes a difference
With Pop-Up POPs, we will take our inclusive youth group on the road, bringing play, sensory activities, and learning into the community
At Family Support Wales, we believe every child and young person deserves the opportunity to have fun, make friends and feel included, regardless of their abilities or circumstances.
We support children, young people and families across our community, including those with disabilities and complex needs. Our POPs (Positive Outcomes Play) group provides a safe, welcoming space where children aged 5–17 can socialise, play, learn new skills and build confidence.
However, we know that not every family can easily travel to our Baglan centre. Transport can be a major barrier, particularly for families living in rural or more isolated communities. This means some children are missing out on opportunities that could make a real difference to their wellbeing and confidence.
That's why we want to take POPs on the road!
Our vision is to create Pop-Up POPs: bringing inclusive play, sensory activities, educational resources, crafts and entertainment directly into local communities. We want to visit areas where children may otherwise struggle to access an inclusive youth group and create fun, welcoming pop-up sessions where everyone can take part.
The money we raise will help us purchase a suitable minivan and cover the costs of adapting and equipping it to transport our resources safely and starting this new project. This will allow our team to take POPs beyond Baglan and reach more children and young people who need us.
With your support, we can bring POPs to more communities, reduce social isolation and give more children the chance to play, connect, grow and belong.
