New stretch target
The extra funding would sustain us for longer
Our Food Cooperative wishes to expand its reach (in addition to its existing provision to the Havens Communities) with 'Pop Up Pantries'.

The extra funding would sustain us for longer
Our amazing Food Cooperative project now prevents over 1 ton of still edible, perishable food from reaching landfill per week.
Using a network of 15 volunteers, we rapidly redistribute produce to hundreds of people living in the Havens (Seaford to Saltdean) - the smaller towns and villages along the coastal stretch between Brighton and Eastbourne.
Moving forward we wish to become even more accessible and proactive by holding 'Pop Up Pantries' which will visit areas with surplus produce. This will allow us to take the food to where it's needed most, as well as continuing to supply local groups, individuals, families and offering surplus from our outside pantry in Denton, Newhaven.
People suffering from a lack of transport support, or other accessibility issues, would be proactively helped by having a 'Pop Up Pantry' right on their doorstep with thousands of pounds worth of rescued supermarket fresh produce being given out, free of charge - supporting families and individuals - and preventing waste.
We will use electric vehicles for transport, further reducing our carbon footprint.
DONATIONS TO THIS CAMPAIGN WILL BE DOUBLED AT NO EXTRA COST TO YOU!
We are lucky enough to be taking part in a match funding opportunity being run by East Sussex Council. As long as we can reach our target from at least 30 supporters, then our amount raised will be doubled by the match funding.
So please help us by donating what you can and sharing our project to help spread the word far and wide.
With huge thanks from all at Havens Community Hub.
