To raise funds to compete in the 2018 Ginetta Junior Championship that supports British Touring Cars that is shown live on ITV4.
James had his first lap in a kart at the age of 8 and took it up competitively when he reached 10 years of age. He competed for a short time at Forest Edge, Clay Pigeon and Camberley the Honda Cadet Championship, where James gained many race wins, fastest laps and podium finishes.
In 2015 he decided to focus on one track location; London Camberley where he finished Championship Runner-Up and in 2016 he won outright the Easter Championship.
In Summer 2016, the difficult decision was made to either progress into a higher karting formula or save finances towards the ultimate in junior car racing - the Ginetta Junior Championship.
James joined the Championship for the last two rounds in September 2017 and in his first race he came 10th overall and in his second at Brands Hatch Grand Prix he finished 6th overall and second in the Rookie class.

The Ginetta Junior Championship is the UK's longest running and most prestigious junior series using the G40 Junior car. It offers 14-17 year olds the first step on the motorsport ladder, giving them an experience of a lifetime starting their journey towards stardom and has proved to be very popular with a massive following, both trackside and at home.

The Championship offers unrivalled opportunities for both the driver and the sponsor with:
