Barrio del Sol brings back the POOL!

To fund the repair and running of the pool at Barrio del Sol, Elsewhere 2026
Well hello there fabulous Nobodies!
I'm Lucas from Barrio del Sol. As a camp we've been custodians of the pool since the old Poolhaus days came to a close. Last year a valiant team at Werkhaus stepped up to give us a year off and delivered an amazing time. For 2026 we hope to bring the pool back again and keep everybody wet, wild and wefreshed!
As we're a small barrio we rely upon the fundraiser and our amazing volunteers to fund and run the pool. We've hit the goal many years in a row thanks to our wonderful supporters! If you've splashed before or want to splash again please donate whatever you can to bring the project back for 2026. Every little donation helps as well as the occasional big ones from those who can afford it <3
This year we will be servicing the sanitation system so the water will be filtered through 2x 0.1 micron filters, changed daily. The water then pumps through 2x UV Sterilisation tubes, as well as being sanitised and tested each morning.
On the fun side of things, the pool will be available to host workshops from anyone with a good idea so please get in touch! The barrio will also be hosting some as well as a party where we bring over the sound system!
Finally we'll be selecting one of the lucky donators to bring 10 of their friends for a round of drinks at the barrio as well as getting first entry to 16,000 litres of freshly delivered water.
Our budget breakdown this year is:
- Water - £700
- Filters + Sanitation - £225
- Repairs - £180
- Fun bits - £50
- Crowdfunder Fees - £35
