It is vital that we honour the service and sacrifice of Polish airmen who flew to defend Allied troops on and following D-Day in June 1944. This commemorative project by Polish architect Alexander Smaga merits widespread support as we approach the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings. Submitted by Jacek Orchel, Chair, The Polish Airmen's Family Foundation - Fundacja Rodzin Lotnikow Polskich (registered charity No.1196815)

Many thanks for the opportunity to make a contribution to this excellent project. The Polish arm of the RAF were pivotal in so many campaigns and in particular the Bof B. It is vital that the sacrifices made by these heroes are never forgotten, as without their valiant efforts, we would not have our freedom today. John hr Burmicz-Woznicki
