Aim: The aim of Polish Heritage Day is to promote and celebrate Polish culture, heritage, tradition and to promote our new products and services
Polski Link is an organisation whose main purpose is to unify Polish migrants in a strong national group that, being aware of its strength, will make every effort to make abroad their second homeland in sense of mental identity. Many of us, coming to the UK, feel increasingly homesick, experience longing, which is not only dictated by the strangeness of everything around, but also linguistic and social barriers. We were established to support and educate the Polish Community abroad, so that each of us feel not only Polish, but a full-fledged citizen of the United Kingdom. We also want to educate Local Communities about Polish Culture, traditions and heritage by this we would like to improve community cohesion.
We want to organise Polish Heritage Day in Derby to promote and celebrate Polish culture, heritage of past generations and the positive contribution made by the million members of the Polish diaspora to the cultural, economic and social life in the United Kingdom, to share the richness of of Polish culture, heritage by showcasing the values which are important to us , such as openness, tolerance, civic engagement, and friendliness to our neighbours. We not only challenge the stereotypes but also to demonstrate to our local communities how much active civic participation is important to our nation.
Polski Link would also like to take the opportunity of this Day and promote our new business venture which is provision of event managment services, also we will be selling Polish products and handmade products such as folk bags, honey and many honey made products, hand made silver jewellery.
