What?                                                                                                                                 The WDC are a leading charity dedicated to the protection of whales and dolphins, with the vision of helping every whale and dolphin be safe and free. Preventing deaths in nets is one of their four main goals! 

Why?                                                                                                                                    Whales and dolphins can become entangled in fishing nets but like us they need to breathe air. Many whales and dolphins aren't killing from the net itself but because they are trapped and cannot reach the surface to breathe. If they release themselves from the net, then they often come away with life threatening injuries such as torn muscles, broken teeth and cut fins.
