Aim: We are fundraising for the WDC who have campaigned for the ban of large scale drift nets around EU waters, and we aim to aid this goal.
We are raising money for a charitable cause that is hugely benefiting the health of our oceans, please consider donating to help us reach our target in aid of WDC Whale and Dolphin Conservation. What? The WDC are a leading charity dedicated to the protection of whales and dolphins, with the vision of helping every whale and dolphin be safe and free. Preventing deaths in nets is one of their four main goals!
Why? Whales and dolphins can become entangled in fishing nets but like us they need to breathe air. Many whales and dolphins aren't killing from the net itself but because they are trapped and cannot reach the surface to breathe. If they release themselves from the net, then they often come away with life threatening injuries such as torn muscles, broken teeth and cut fins.
