Help Plymouth Gladiators fund new safety air fencing at the Coliseum so speedway can race in Plymouth in 2027 and beyond.
Who we are
Plymouth Gladiators are Plymouth's speedway team, racing at the Coliseum. Speedway has been part of the city since 1931, and today the club is kept going by a small promotion team and a dedicated band of volunteers who run race nights, look after the track and support our riders.
On race nights, the Coliseum brings together families, young fans, long-time supporters and visitors from across the South West. For many, it's a regular night out and part of what makes Plymouth Plymouth. Race nights also bring visitors into the city and support local businesses, from food vendors to the sponsors who back the team.
The Coliseum is about much more than league racing. Our floodlit Electric Nights give young riders two hours on the track on their electric bikes, grouped by ability so it's safe, fun and beginner friendly, with first aid on site and a warm welcome for families. My First Skid taster sessions let anyone who can balance on a bike try a real speedway bike, from 90cc up to 500cc, with tuition from experienced riders. Together they're helping to inspire the next generation of riders and fans. We were proud to host the British Under-19s Championship final, showcasing some of the best young talent in the sport. The venue is also used by the wider community: Young Devon use the track for their 10k run.

Our vision
We want to keep speedway racing in Plymouth for years to come, as a safe, affordable and family-friendly sport the whole community can enjoy. We want to build on our history, welcome new fans and give riders a safe place to race.
Why we need your help
To race in 2027, the Coliseum must have new safety air fencing. The air fence lines the track and cushions riders if they crash, and it's essential for both rider safety and permission to race. The total cost is £46,000.
Thanks to our incredible supporters and sponsors, we've already raised some of the funds. We now need to raise the final amount to race! Without the new fencing, there will be no speedway in Plymouth in 2027.
How we'll use the money
Every pound raised goes towards buying and installing the new air fencing at the Coliseum.
