Please sponsor a new hedge sapling "For a Fiver"

Hopwood based Kings Norton Rugby Football Club are well on the way to purchasing 6.3 acres of an adjacent grazing field named as The Field of Dreams to provide urgently needed additional space for its younger members of the RHINOS Junior section, plus other voluntary groups and schools use. Fund raising for this has obviously been hampered due to Covid -19. As the actual final purchase date may be delayed, the owners have generously agreed to allow these very useful community activities to go ahead in advance. Therefore it is necessary to plant a 130 metre long boundary hedge as soon as we are at the end of this current  Covid-19  lock down period. We strongly believe it is very important to involve all of our youngsters in this project. Therefore a "plant a twig" event has been organised for the end of National Tree Week on Sunday 6th December when many of our girls & boys in The RHINOS section will each plant one of 800 various natural hedge saplings together with a cane within an environmental tube to protect against animal damage in their early growth years. Additional funds are required for this essential item which includes installing a post and wire stock proof fence with a mid way stile for recovery of balls etc. Our target is to raise £1500 in the next few weeks and hoping friends and supporters will donate a few pounds, maybe a fiver or more towards this sum.Any surplus raised will speed up the lend purchase date.

Any surplus to this goal will be added to the funding pot to speed up our land purchase.
