THE MAX & GEORGE TRUST in Staffordshire rescues dogs from different places including UK home and rescues, Spanish and Romanian Kill Centres and other rescues across the globe. The Trust is responsible for saving the lives of hundreds of dogs and puppies.
I volunteer at the Trust and I love it. I get to walk, feed and play with the dogs who are all such beautiful little souls and do not deserve the lives they have lived before rescue.
I myself have a little rescue cat - she is called Rosie and she only has 3 legs - bless her - however, she would not be able to tolerate living with another cat or dog, so for me, volunteering with dogs is the next best thing.
I want to raise funds for two of the dogs - SADIE and MAJOR - both pictured. I would love for both of these dogs to have larger outside kennels so that they can have more room to run around in, to play with their toys and to relax and sleep. SADIE and MAJOR are two very special dogs -
MAJOR's STORY
Romanian dog catchers garrotted Major, inflicting sever neck injuries & leaving him with severe trauma. Like all fear reactive dogs, when Major first arrived, Lauren who owns the Trust made it her mission to earn his trust. Lauren would work outside his kennel by day and take him on 3 a.m. walks when the rest of the world was quiet. Lauren would even sleep outside his kennel. The key to major is no eye contact and slow movements. Major has now gained enough confidence to be able to walk out in the day, but he is still very fearful of humans so can only be handled by a select few. Sadly it is not safe for him to be rehomed, so he will live out his days being cared for at the Trust by those who understand him.

SADIE'S STORY
Sadie is a beautiful Staffie Cross - she is 7 years old - she was surrendered to the Trust in 2022. She absolutely loves humans, and loves humans fussing around her and she has got a lot of love to give. However, in the past Sadie has had some extremely bad experiences with other dogs and is therefore very dog reactive, so much so, that she cannot be put near the other dogs, which restricts her quite a lot. She loves her walks, but again, for her safety and that of the other dogs at the Trust, she can not walk with the other dogs and needs to be walked alone when it is quiet. It would be very difficult to re-home Sadie, who could only be adopted by very experienced handlers who have vast knowledge and experience of dog reactive dogs. Sadie would really benefit from a larger area where she could be on her own, and have room to play.
PLEASE HELP SADIE BY BUYING HER A LARGER KENNEL TO GIVE HER MORE SPACE.
