Win a Dream Getaway to Kuramathi Island, Maldives!

1)    By entering this prize draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2)    The promoter is Play to the Crowd, incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 03696681 and charity number 1077139, whose registered office is at Theatre Royal, Jewry Street, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8SB.

Eligibility

3)    Entry is not permitted for Play to the Crowd trustees or individuals employed by Play to the Crowd or DER Tour (UK) Ltd / Kuoni on or after Friday 5 July 2024 nor may they benefit from the prize.

4)    Anyone entering the prize draw accepts that in the event that they win, terms and conditions will apply to the prize as detailed in clause 19. 

5)    Entrants must be living at a UK address and aged 18 years or over on Friday 5 July 2024. 

Entry Requirements and Entry Period

6)    Paid entry to the prize draw is available via Crowdfunder (www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/playtothecrowdprizedraw). One entry is valued at £10.

7)    For free entry by post to the prize draw, see clauses 20-23.

8)    The prize draw opens at 08:00 GMT on Friday 5 July 2024 and closes at 08:00 GMT on Friday 9 Aug 2024 (the ‘Entry Period’). Any entries received after the Entry Period will not be accepted. 

9)    Play to the Crowd is not responsible for any delays in postal delivery by Royal Mail. 

The Draw and The Prize Winners

10)    The draw will take place on Wednesday 14 August 2024 (the ‘Draw Date’).

11)    Once the Entry Period is closed, each individual valid entry will be entered into the draw.

12)    On the Draw Date the administrator of the draw (Play to the Crowd) will use a random number generator to select one (1) Prize winner from the valid entries, plus five (5) additional entries for use as a reserve list in the event that the Prize winner cannot be contacted in line with clause 16 below. 

13)    Multiple entries per person are permitted, although there is only one Prize to be awarded.

14)    The first number to be drawn will win the Prize as defined in clause 18.

15)    The Prize winners will be notified by email and/or first-class post within 5 days of the Draw Date.

16)    In the event that the Prize winner does not make contact with Play to the Crowd to claim their Prize within twenty-one (21) days of the Draw Date, or is disqualified from the draw, Play to the Crowd will allocate their Prize to one of the reserve list names (in priority order, starting with the 2nd person identified in the draw).

17)    Play to the Crowd’s decision as to the Prize winners is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

The Prize

18)    The Prize is as follows: 

a)     7 nights’ accommodation for two in a Beach Bungalow at Kuramathi Island Resort, Maldives on Full Board basis. Includes meals at allocated buffet restaurant.

b)     Complimentary return speedboat transfers (on scheduled transfers only) from Malé-Velana International Airport (MLE).

19)       The receipt by the winning entrant of the Prize is conditional upon the winning entrant’s compliance with the following terms and conditions. Winning entrants may be required to provide a written acknowledgement of these terms and conditions, other consents or releases relating to the Prize. 

a)    A copy of the prize voucher must be presented at time of check-in.

b)   The Prize is valid for travel before 23 December 2024.

c)    USD 6 Green Tax per person per night will be chargeable.

d)    Airport transfer by seaplane available at a surcharge (USD 354 per person, roundtrip)

e)    Subject to availability at time of booking and advance reservations must be made.

f)    Prize vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable and hold no monetary value.

g)   Winning entrants are responsible for scheduling, booking and paying for their own flights to Malé-Velana International Airport (MLE).

Postal Entry

20)    Postal entrants may enter the promotion: 

a)    by mailing their full name and a contact telephone number (including area code if providing a landline number) or other method of contact (as applicable), to the following postal address:

b)    by sending an entry within an envelope. Entries received other than in an envelope will not be accepted.

21)    In the case of multiple entries received in a single envelope, only one entry will be entered into the draw.

22)    Entries sent by post;

a)    must be received at the relevant postal address specified for entries by the end of the Entry Period as specified in Clause 8.

b)    Entries which have not been given the correct and sufficient payment for postage will be invalid and will not be considered.

23)    Personal and hand delivered entries will not be accepted.

General

24)    Play to the Crowd shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations to the winner(s) if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Neither shall Play to the Crowd be liable to the winner(s) for any loss or damage suffered in connection with this prize draw and/or the Prize, save in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence or fraud of Play to the Crowd.

25)    Play to the Crowd reserves the right to make any reasonable amendments to these Terms and Conditions at any stage. In this event, a notice will be posted on the Crowdfunder page (www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/playtothecrowdprizedraw). Play to the Crowd also reserves the right to hold, void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.

26)    As a condition of entering the prize draw, entrants must ensure that, by doing so, they do not contravene any laws of their country of residence. Play to the Crowd will not be liable in any way if any entrant enters the prize draw unlawfully.

27)    Entrants may be required to participate in publicity without further consent or payment, such publicity including without limitation the entrant’s name, entry or any information provided by the entrant, including photographs and videos. This information may be used by Play to the Crowd in any and all media, including but not limited to Play to the Crowd’s social media platforms, in perpetuity throughout the world as Play to the Crowd may decide. 

28)    Any personal information collected by Play to the Crowd in connection with a prize draw will be used in accordance with Play to the Crowd’s Privacy Policy (www.playtothecrowd.co.uk/privacy-policy).

29)    Play to the Crowd will make available information indicating that a Prize has been awarded under this draw. To comply with this obligation Play to the Crowd will send the surname and county of the prize winner to anyone who writes to Fundraising Manager, Play to the Crowd, Theatre Royal Winchester, Jewry Street, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8SB (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one (1) month after the Draw Date stated in Clause 10. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Play to the Crowd at [email protected]. In such circumstances, Play to the Crowd must still provide the information and winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

30)    This prize draw and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.
