Playing Out Hartlepool

Aim

To support residents locally to access and organise outdoor play and enable communities to play out safely in local streets and green spaces

Play Out Hartlepool CIC has been running for 5 years. Our vision and drive is to help people, particularly children and young people, in our local community experience play, on their streets and in green spaces. Play is fundamental to child development  - and we believe also to community growth!

Our supporters will be carrying various fund raisers, including:

- The Amsterdam Half Marathon

-Pay As You Feel play sessions

The money we raise will go into setting up and running Play Streets/Playing Out events in Hartlepool:

- Supporting local residents to be able to open their streets for play for their children.

- Talking to the local community about who wants to be involved and creating a plan together.

- In partnership, opening streets for play and running community play activities in green spaces on a regular basis around the town.

The money will go towards paying for our staff to make these things happen and for resources that will support events, such as street closure kits and basic sports/play equipment - chalks, hula hoops etc.

We help organise Play Streets and park events in Hartlepool already, with one in Hartlepool Supporters Club Carpark for over 2 years, with the help of local residents, volunteering every Tuesday in school holidays. We want to continue and expand the work we do in Hartlepool.
