Help Us Build a Safe and Creative Space for Children to Heal Through Play
Play is more than just fun for children — it’s essential to their growth and emotional well-being. For many young people, especially those who are neurodiverse or have experienced trauma, traditional talking therapies simply don’t work. They need a different kind of space — one that speaks their language: the language of play.
That’s why we’re creating a Therapeutic-Based Creative Play Room — a safe, nurturing environment where children can express themselves, explore their emotions, and begin to heal. But we need your help to fill this space with the essential tools and materials that make this kind of therapy possible.
Why Play Therapy?
Before the age of 8, most children do not have the cognitive or emotional development to talk through their feelings. Instead, they communicate through their actions, play, and imagination.
Therapeutic-based creative play allows children to process their experiences in a way that feels natural and safe. It helps them explore complex emotions, develop resilience, and build trust — all while engaging in play that feels meaningful and empowering.
Whether a child is struggling with anxiety, trauma, loss, or difficulties at school or home, creative therapy meets them where they are emotionally — not just where they are on paper or in age.
What We Need
To bring this space to life, we’re raising funds to purchase core therapeutic play equipment — the tools that help children tell their stories without needing to find the "right words."
Your support will help us provide:
🧸 Role Play & Nurturing Toys
Dollhouses, family figures, dress-up clothes, soft toys, pretend food, tools, and phones — all key for helping children make sense of family roles, relationships, and everyday situations.
🧱 Construction & Exploration Materials
Blocks, Lego, cars, glasses, and building sets that encourage imagination, spatial awareness, and confidence.
🧙 Acting Out & Emotional Expression Tools
Puppets, action figures, safe pretend weapons, and expressive animal toys for children to explore themes of power, fear, and safety in symbolic play.
🎨 Creative and Sensory Items
Art supplies, play dough, kinetic sand, fidget tools, therapeutic games, clay, musical instruments, and storybooks — all used for calming the body, releasing emotions, and creating narrative.
🏖️ Sand Tray and Miniatures
Including people, animals, nature elements, vehicles, mythical figures, and more — these allow children to build worlds that reflect their inner emotional life.
🃏 Therapeutic and Classic Card Games
Helping children name emotions, solve problems, and build social understanding.
Why It Matters
This isn’t just about toys — it’s about giving children the tools to heal, grow, and thrive. Every item in this space is selected with intention and care, grounded in child-centered therapy practices. These resources give children a voice — sometimes for the first time.
By donating, you’re not just funding equipment — you’re investing in a child’s emotional well-being, mental health, and future.
💛 Donate today and help us build a space where every child feels seen, heard, and safe.
Whether it's £5, £500 or £5000 every contribution helps us get one step closer to making this therapeutic space a reality. Thank you for believing in the power of play — and the children who depend on it.
