We would use the extra money to go towards our Beach Hero programme which is starting next year, this is programme which we will take into schools, sports groups, scout/guide/brownie/cub groups etc to help educate the younger generation on the dangers of littering, plastic pollution and what they can do to help
My name is Emma and I am the eco liaison for Plastic Free Exmouth. We are a team of 8 volunteers that with the support of Surfers Against Sewage are aiming to attain the Plastic-free status for Exmouth. We hold a community beach clean every Sunday morning, have a plastic-free festival planned as well as supporting local businesses, schools and individuals to learn to live and work without single use plastic. We are extremely passionate about the environment and plan to be holding educational talks, litter picks and events to pull the community together so we can tackle this problem together. We will use the money from this crowdfunder to buy an event shelter so that we can take it with us to events, visit open days at work places/schools, be a focus point for our own festival which if successful will be an annual event.
