Pivotal is a group of creatives in cambridge who came together in 2015 to make work and highlight the COP talks in Paris.
We now seek to continue that with a festival in november to co-incide with COP22 taking place in Marrakech.
We are partnering with Cambridge Carbon Footprint (CCF), Transition Cambridge (TC), and Friends of the Earth Cambridge (FOE/C) to produce a festival of the environment, community, and tech, at the Cambridge Museum of Technology over the weekend of november 12th and 13th (saturday evening & sunday).
The aims of the festival are:
* To bring the local community of Cambridge together to celebrate local environmental actions and positive initiatives
* To reflect on the links between technology and the natural world: can the development of technologies improve our planet and the human community or is it time to change our current technological model?
* To initiate local dialogue and engagement of the community in response to those challenges
What will be in the festival: a range of films, talks, hands on workshops, art work, music, nature walks, spoken word and story making, and not forgetting food & drinks!
We need your help to make this happen!
Your funding support will help us to provide exciting talks from leading specialists in their field, conservation practitioners and academics, bring you some of the latest films on the environment, including exclusive screenings of films made for the COP talks, venue hire, travel & accomodation, hire costs, and all the expenses that putting on a festival incur.
