To expand the already thriving Pole Dance community at Pivot Pole Studio into a bigger space with more opportunities & improved facilities!
Hello folks! Welcome to Pivot Pole Studio's Crowdfunder; I'm so pleased you're here reading this! This Crowdfunder is to facilitate the growth of Pivot Pole Studio to a bigger Studio in the City Centre. We're often told we're a "home away from home" for our Students, and I want to make sure that's the case by making a cosy dedicated Pole Studio with better facilities and more opportunities for our students. We strongly believe Pole & movement is for everyBODY!
The good news is, we've found a space!* The bad news ... well, it's expensive and if we are ever to move, I cannot do it alone.
This Crowdfunder and the need to expand has been about 4 years in the making, when we very quickly outgrew our current Studio space and now I have found a beautiful and promising new potential space, I feel it's time to take the next step!

✨ About Jess & Pivot Pole Studio ✨
I have been in the Pole Industry for 13 years. 13 of those I have been learning Pole, 9 of them I have been teaching and 5 of them I have been running Pivot Pole Studio. Pivot Pole Studio prides itself on being a fully inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly safe space for folks to enjoy Pole Dance & movement in an anti-diet, judgement free and supportive environment. Our ethos is to foster Inclusivity, Accessibility as well as Self-Acceptance.
✨ About the New Space ✨
Situated in the beautiful Shore area of the city, the new space will be over twice the size of our original space, offering more spaces in classes and more opportunities for new workshops and classes; catering to as many different abilities an styles as we possibly can. Long gone will be the days of long waitlists & missing on booking your favourite classes.

▸ A comfortable waiting area for visitors (with WiFi!)
▸ 2 large windows that open (if you know, you know...)
▸ Radiators to keep us warm in winter
▸ Our own private gender neutral bathroom with shower
▸ Our own kitchenette where you can grab a cuppa/ water
▸ Mirrors that reach the floor (hallelujah Floor Dwellers!)
▸ Atmospheric lighting to make your pole photos pop!
▸ No more loud external noises so we can offer calm classes
▸ Centrally located with easy access by foot, car, bike, tram or bus
▸ More spaces in in-house & guest workshops
▸ Opportunities for in-house small showcases
▸ Better value on Class Packs to make them more user friendly
▸ Opportunities to offer Scholarships/ Donation based classes
▸ Opportunities to work with the local community
▸ Jess will be less stressed
▸ The same good vibes as always, just even better!
We can also double up the space by opening up for social events and fulfilling dreams of working with the local community, including offering monthly scholarships to low income and SWer folks who may want to try Pole and be a part of our community. We are currently in the process of applying for planning permission to convert this into a Pole/ Aerial Space which we hope to have an answer to within the next few months.

✨ Where will funding go? ✨
Growing a business is expensive (!) and the majority of the costs (including legal fees & obtaining the premises) will be coming from my personal savings, which sadly aren't enough. These will include (which is where your help comes in!):
1. Fitting out the premises: £5000
This includes structural support for the poles, dance mirrors, flooring & decorating
2. Poles & Equipment £2500
This includes poles & their mounts, additional yoga mats & blocks and additional crash mats.
✨ Risks & Accountability ✨
Whilst I remain cautiously optimistic that this will be a success, there are always a few things to consider. I am also a big believer in full transparency. So:
This is an "all or nothing" funding campaign, so if we don't reach our target within 8 weeks you will be refunded!
Should we reach our target, but planning permission be rejected, we will appeal, but should that not work then you will be refunded. We will only use these funds if the acquisition of the space is successful. Any costs incurred for the planning permission, legal fees, deposit on the space will be from my personal savings.
