The Warwickshire baseball club are raising funds to construct a baseball diamond and backstop in Stockton, Warwickshire.

Who are we?
Warwickshire Baseball club was founded in 2022 with the aim of introducing, developing and progressing the game of baseball in Warwickshire and the surrounding area.
The club operates an all inclusive policy welcoming people from all backgrounds, genders and abilities.
Our current goal is to grow our membership over this summer and enter our first team, The Stockton Grizzlies into a SINGLE A league in 2023.
Warwickshire Baseball currently has one team but plans to grow the club over the next few years to be able to field multiple teams per season at different levels.
The community impact and how our project will be united by Birmingham 2022!
The club being launched in 2022 has been timed perfectly to coincide with the United by Birmingham 2022 program. The program is about creating a lasting legacy and celebrating this years commonwealth games.
One of the main aims of the United by Birmingham 2022 program is to bring people together from all backgrounds and as a club this is one of our key aims. We want to introduce, develop and progress the sport of baseball across Warwickshire and the West midlands, whilst improving our members health and wellbeing and providing them with a platform to learn new skills.
Why are we crowdfunding?
The club are looking to raise funds to install a baseball diamond and backstop on the field at the Stockton Football and Cricket Club. The guys at the football and cricket club have been extremely welcoming to us. They have granted us permission train and play our matches on their fields and also permission to install the baseball diamond and backstop in a well placed location.
Included in our crowdfunding campaign we applied For the SPORTS ENGLAND MATCH FUNDING and we are excited to announce we were accepted and match funded for 30% of our target! But we do need to reach our target to secure this!
This baseball facility will be the only one of its kind in Warwickshire and will greatly benefit the local and wider community as well as improve the possibilities of growth for the club and sport across the county.
With the installation of the diamond we will be able to launch a youth program to teach the sport to children of all ages. We will be able to host community events and much much more.
We are looking to raise £3544. This amount would cover everything we need to install the Stockton baseball diamond and backstop. However if we don't quite reach our target the funds will be allocated to the project on a priority basis. The diamond being the highest priority.

How we’ll spend the money raised!
The funds we raise will be allocated to the following -
The Diamond
- £800 - Approx 8 Tonnes of Baseball Dirt to top the bases, batting circle and mound.
- £320 - Approx 10 Tonnes of free draining sub base material.
- £312 - Bases, Home Plate and Pitching Rubber
- £462 - Unfired Clay Bricks
The Backstop
- £1425 - Tubing and connections to construct backstop
- £225 - Netting for backstop
The labour required to construct both the diamond and backstop will be conducted by experienced ground workers from within the club and a group of volunteers.
Building materials including items such as ballast and cement have been donated to us via one of our sponsors and any machinery required is also going to be donated to us from a local hire company.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
Personalised Mud Kitchen Prize Draw
We have been lucky enough to have been donated a beautiful hand crafted mud kitchen to put up as a prize draw! These mud kitchens are fully customisable and can be personalised with your child/children's names!
1.This prize draw is open to all residents of Great Britain that are over the age of 18.
2. To enter the prize draw you can purchase an entry for £3 as a pledge reward, these can be found in the rewards section. You an also enter the draw for free by sending an email with the subject heading Prize Draw to [email protected]. Entries are limited to 5 per person including the FREE entry.
3. This Prize draw is run by and on behalf of Warwickshire Baseball Club in Collaboration with Enchanted Mud Kitchens.
4. The prize draw will end at the same time as the crowdfunding campaign.
5. The prize available is one fully customisable and personalised Mud Kitchen. The lucky winner will be contacted at the end of the crowdfunding campaign to confirm personalisation a customisation options.
6. The winner will be drawn at random and contacted via email/telephone and also announced on social media.
7. The prize will be delivered approximately 4 weeks after the end date of the crowdfunding campaign.
8. All personal data and contact information will be securely stored until the end date of the competition. On completion of the competition all personal information shall be removed from our system.
