Hello, I'm Pippa Heylings.
I am campaigning to be the next MP for South Cambridgeshire, helping bring about the change we are all seeking and championing action on climate and Nature.
With your help, I want to raise £10,000 to help us win the General Election which is now only months away.
I am fundraising because elections are expensive. The Conservatives have deep pockets with the help of their multi-millionaire donors. We can’t match that - but with your help, we can raise enough money to win! That is why I am launching my election fund now so we can scale up our campaign and keep up the pressure all the way to success on polling day.
South Cambs is a beautiful and vibrant place - and these are hugely exciting times for our constituency. We are one of the top ten target seats in the country for the Liberal Democrats. The Conservatives have a very slim majority of less than 3,000 votes over the Liberal Democrats here and we are tipped to win! That means every vote matters. Our campaign really matters. Whether you are a Liberal Democrat supporter, someone who cares about green issues and/or someone who will lend me your vote to help defeat the Conservatives this time - I need your help now.
South Cambs’ constituency has over 78,000 voters in 41,500 houses houses and we want to reach as many as possible so that people can see I’m listening and standing up for them.
With your donations, we will be able to:
- Coordinate fast-growing teams of brilliant volunteers.
- Cover the costs of a new 8-page magazine, featuring me and my story and giving detail about my positive plan of action (GPs and NHS; cost of living and housing; action on climate, water scarcity and sewage in our chalk streams).
- Build a compelling digital campaign to reach all voters, particularly younger voters.
I'm standing because, like you, I don't want to be represented by a Conservative MP in Westminster for a minute longer.
We need MPs who understand the challenges people are facing, and will speak up for them, particularly the elderly and the vulnerable in our communities.
We need MPs who care about the twin challenge of the Nature and climate crisis and want to take the actions necessary, together with our communities, to give us the best chance of handing on a healthy planet for our children and grandchildren.
We need more MPs who have a wealth of life and career experience in the 'real world' to bring into parliament.
