Hey everyone!
My name is Pippa Blundell and I am trying to create a record!
I am an independent, self-releasing, self-managing singer-songwriter based in Glasgow. Over the last three years I have poured my heart into building a career in this crazy, beautiful world of music. I graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2022 as a Mezzo-Soprano, initially aspiring to be an opera singer yet found my true belonging in the pubs, clubs and venues of Glasgow's thriving music scene. I released my debut EP in October 2023 as a set of four stripped back and reflective tracks, an interrogation on the women in my life and what it means to be a woman in your early twenties. In April 2024 I released my single 'That's Fine', a love letter for my home city of Glasgow and contemplating how the people of this city deal with struggle through humour, community and togetherness. I have supported many artists in Scotland such as 'Rachel Sermanni', 'Constant Follower' and joined the Glasgow Jazz collective 'corto.alto' on their UK tour for their Mercury Award nominated album 'Bad With Names'. I have appeared at Scottish music festivals such as Kelburn Garden Party, Eden, Doune the Rabbit Hole, Perth Festival of the arts and the Glasgow Jazz Festival. I'm now working with a beautiful band to bring an exciting new sound to these intimate songs.

...I've spent the last year writing an album that I am very proud of and am ready to record with my beautiful band, to give to you!
Everything is in place... all that I am missing is some money. After some unsuccessful funding applications and now the news that Creative Scotland's open fund for individuals is closing I have turned to crowdfunding to seek for some help so that i can pay everyone that is giving their time to this project. Every donation helps, no matter the size, and will go directly towards the costs of making this record happen... such as my band's fees, studio costs, engineer costs, mixing, mastering, album artwork and distribution - including pressing CD's.
Here's a little spreadsheet breakdown of my costs for those interested... I'm putting in £2000 of my own money then hoping to get some help to reach my target of £5000 on crowdfunder. If I cannot reach my full target I will still produce something for you! Whether it's a short album or an EP.
**I have hopes of pressing this record on to vinyl, however, want to focus first on the digital and CD distribution, as this is more attainable financially. If this crowdfunder exceeds the original amount set, we will put any remaining money toward vinyl pressing!**
