Raise funds for Picnic in the Park and St Werburghs Community Centre!

St Werburghs Community Centre

St Werburghs Community Centre is a registered charity that has been providing services, courses and events for local residents for over 50 years. We offer a wide variety of family and wellbeing services, digital inclusion support and a vibrant range of events and classes run throughout the year. Each year we welcome over 80,000 individual visits through our doors and over 200 Members Groups use our centre.

Picnic in the Park

We are organising our annual community celebration Picnic in the Park, with food, stalls, activities and entertainment for all the family in Mina Road Park on September 11th, 1pm – 5pm. This year there will also be a calm space in the Centre with free sensory activities. This brilliant afternoon is run by and for the community.

How can you help

In previous years we have had additional funding dedicated to Picnic in the Park, but this year we are relying on the goodwill of local people and businesses to make this year’s event happen and to be able to offer a wide range of free activities. We are very grateful for their generosity.  We are asking for your support to help us cover costs of infrastructure and essential activities at Picnic in the Park. 

Support us by donating what you can afford! 

Money raised will go towards making this fun event happen and celebrating our brilliant, diverse and creative community in St Werburghs and surrounding areas. If we raise more than our target amount then any additional donations will go towards St Werburghs Community Centre and top of our wish list is establishing a SEND provision at the Centre that will include buying sensory equipment.
