0Help Fund the Next Generation of Photographers
Breaking into the creative industries can be difficult for young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. While the UK's creative sector contributes over £111 billion annually and is growing rapidly, opportunities remain unevenly distributed.
Only 4% of the photography workforce comes from Global Majority backgrounds.
Photofusion's Creators' Studio is a free to access, rolling programme for young people aged 16–25, providing the skills, confidence, and connections needed to build a career in photography and the creative industries.
What We Provide:
- Professional photography and post-production training
- Portfolio development and career guidance
- Business skills, including budgeting, invoicing, and contracts
- Work placements, mentorship, and paid opportunities
- Access to professional facilities and a supportive creative community
Proven Impact:
Our alumni have gone on to work with brands including Converse, Nike, the BBC, and Vogue. Over the past four years:
- 93% of participants progressed into employment or higher education
- 100% reported improvements in skills such as communication, teamwork, and timekeeping
- 100% said Photofusion provides a safe and supportive environment for creative expression
