To provide the first purpose built gymnastics centre in Angus to benefit the community of Forfar and surrounding areas.
The Project:
To turn the disused tennis courts at the former Lochside Leisure Centre, Forfar, in to a purpose built gymnastics facility to provide health and exercise benefits for children aged from just 8 weeks old right through to adulthood. Stage 1 of the project is to complete ground investigation works at the site, work through the community asset transfer process and gain planning permission before we move on to stage 2 - the build!

What Your Donation will go towards:
With estimated costs of around £30,000 for Stage 1, all donations will be going towards these initial costs to help us move forward and build a bigger, brighter future for our members! Our gymnasts will be taking part in many fundraising events themselves this year to help us reach our goal but we would love to see if the true 'power of the crowd' can help us along the way.

Background to our club:
Having operated for over 30 years out of local authority venues, it is now time for us to provide our members with a facility they will be proud of for years to come. Our gymnastics club is the largest one in Angus with over 250 registered members and a further 220 children waiting to gain a space. Over the years, our gymnasts have achieved top rankings at competitions and gained entry to various different squad structures. We are open to all and provide opportunities for the complete beginner right through to the competitive level gymnasts celebrating all successes big or small. To be able to have a purpose built facility in our home town would have such a positive impact on the development of all our gymnasts.

To conclude:
Every donation towards our goal is gratefully received and we thank you in advance for any help that you are able to give. Phoenix Forfar Gymnasts will be Cartwheeling with delight if we can give them a home to be proud of for generations to come! We hope you enjoy watching the video as much as the children enjoyed making it!!
