Help us complete final certification to turn plastic waste into green hydrogen & carbon nanotubes. £75k raise
Our Story
Phoenix TEK Services CIC is a UK Community Interest Company on a mission to turn one of the world's most stubborn waste problems — plastic — into something genuinely valuable. We've developed a process that breaks down plastic waste and converts it into two high-value outputs: green hydrogen and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT), a next-generation material used across electronics, batteries, and advanced manufacturing.
This isn't a concept on paper. Our process has already been tested with university carbon nanotube research departments and an independent testing lab, giving us real confidence in the science. We're now in discussions with prospective UK buyers for our MWCNT output, who are waiting on final certification before they can commit.
As a not-for-profit CIC, our structure is different by design. We don't have shareholders to answer to — every pound of profit beyond our costs is reinvested into local community, education, and employment initiatives. Our plan is to build a showcase production facility in Devon that doesn't just process plastic and produce hydrogen and MWCNT, but also serves as a working demonstration site for research, apprenticeships, and university collaboration.
Why we're raising
We're asking for £75,000 to take us from proven process to commercial reality. This covers completing final certification testing, building our commercial production unit, and setting up the additional process facilities and site costs needed to get there. This is the last hurdle before we can begin commercial MWCNT sales and start generating clean hydrogen at scale — with revenue expected before the end of this year.
What you get
You're lending to help us cross the finish line. In return, backers receive a place on our supporter wall, and an invitation to visit the showcase factory in Devon once it's built.
Thank you for considering being part of turning waste into something that matters
