We're fundraising to get Greens elected in Croydon and Sutton. We need more fresh voices elected and more fresh ideas being heard in politics. You can help make that happen.

We need a fresh start

We have all been through a lot in the last 12 months. We’ve lived through the tragedy of the corona virus pandemic – made far worse by the Government’s lies, incompetence, and crooked deals to give our money away to their mates.

We are now witnessing the unfolding disaster of Brexit – where the government’s promises are turning out to be the lies that so many of us knew they would be.

We are also seeing the signs of the growing climate and ecological emergency – freak weather conditions are becoming far more common, air pollution is killing thousands every year, and more creatures are becoming extinct every day.

We can’t go on like this. We need a new direction. We need a fresh start.

We can make a difference

In May we get to elect a new Mayor of London and a new London Assembly. Sian Berry is running a fantastic campaign to be London’s first Green Mayor. She is currently third in the race and the number of people supporting her is rising with every new poll.

We have always had at least two Green Party members out of the twenty-five on the London Assembly, challenging the Mayor and putting forward the common sense arguments. This year we are on course to get even more elected and have a bigger say in London’s future.

Next May we get to elect new Councils. The Councils in both Croydon and Sutton are in a mess, failing to deliver and unpopular with residents. We are building support and aiming to get our first Green Councillors elected in both boroughs. They will join the hundreds of Green Councillors who have been elected all over the country, bringing some common sense to local politics.

Your donations help our big ideas reach more people

Unlike the other big parties we don’t have billionaires funding us and corporate backers, we’re powered by people like you. 

That means we can’t be bought. We won’t spend our time working for those who are already rich and powerful. We will spend all our time working for your best interests. 

We also know that the more people hear about the Green Party, the more they support us. So getting our messages out there is vital and your contributions are what keep us going.

Your donations will be used to-

• Pay the deposit we need to stand in the London elections
• Print leaflets for our volunteers to deliver to residents
• Pay for social media posts to reach a wider audience
• Support our phone banks calling local people

We have taken the lessons learned from where Greens have won elsewhere in the country and we will be applying them in Croydon and Sutton. We have a strategy in place and we will continue building it and developing it to encourage even more local voters to vote Green.

There is no time to waste

We’ve all had enough. Our environment, our society, and our own wellbeing can’t take any more.

By electing Greens we can start to turn things around. We can change that direction. We can get a new voice in politics and every Green vote makes a difference, it makes it clear to the others that they cannot carry on as before.

And it all starts with you. Every penny you give to this crowdfunder will go towards our campaigns. And if you can’t afford to give money we would love to have your help in delivering leaflets and making telephone calls.
