Aim

We're backing The Andy Taylor Foundation and its Royal Television Society bursary to help young people from all backgrounds break into media

We're cycling from London to Brighton to raise funds for The Andy Taylor Foundation – a charity that aims to help young people from lower socio-economic backgrounds break into the creative industries.

Through its 'Foot In The Door' initiative, ATF helps young people develop media production, digital storytelling, idea generation, writing, pitching, communication and teamwork skills via a range of workshops and masterclasses. The scheme has secured work placements at companies including LADbible, ITV Studios, Lime Pictures and Studio Lambert.

The organisation has also partnered with the Royal Television Society (RTS) on its Digital Innovation bursary scheme, which provides financial support to digital media students and funds their visits to businesses including Apple TV+, the BBC, Channel 4, Paramount, Sky and more, plus the RTS Cambridge and London conventions.

Andy was a visionary and innovator in his field – among the key team at Big Brother digital media agency Victoria Real, then digital chief at Channel 4 and All3Media, before co-founding YouTube channels pioneer Little Dot Studios. He sadly died of cancer in 2020 but his name and legacy live on through ATF's work, so we'll be pedalling 54 miles from Clapham Common to Brighton seafront on Saturday, June 21 to raise as much money as we can for this important cause. Any contribution you can make would be greatly appreciated and help speed us on our way! Thank you.
