Aim

Geovle personalised tuition and home education support uses online technology to empower learners’ aspirations and improve outcomes.

How It Geovled

Geovle is an evolving, socially responsible virtual learning environment focused on STEM + Geography online exam tuition. At Geovle we are passionate about using technology to empower learners’ aspirations and outcomes and redefine the role of the ‘teacher’.

We use Google Classroom and the latest Ed Tech software and analytics to flip learning and combine it with the most important ingredient: personalised mentoring by subject experts to encourage, inspire and address knowledge gaps and misconceptions.

At Geovle we are dedicated to equipping pupils with a global, national and local awareness, belief in themselves and a deep love of learning where they are the architects of their future. We are committed to students’ self efficacy and welfare.

Geovle advocates self directed learning, instilling habits of self direction, curiosity and resilience to foster a lifelong love of learning in our own children and those we mentor.

Why

According to Save the Children one in three children living in poverty in England fall behind with their education and only 27% of children from poor families get five or more good GCSE passes, compared with 55% of their peers from wealthier families.

Worldwide 1 in 6 secondary school age children are not in school and this is why Geovle is part of the solution to the UN's Sustainable Development Goal number 4 to 'ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all'.

The proportion of teachers leaving the profession is higher than ever and class sizes in secondary schools routinely exceed 30. Geovle provides a solution in the form of personalised tuition that is exciting for learners and educators and equips all those involved for jobs of the future.

Kirstin Coughtrie, founder of Geovle is a teacher, mother of 3 and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society with Institute of British Geographers. She holds a BSc 1st class (Hons) Degree in Geography with PGCE | QTS from Southampton University and has international industry experience in learning and development and online technologies.
