Perrys World - A children's Book about Friendship

Aim

To fund the first print run of The Adventures of Perry the Peruvian Tree Frog, a vibrant children’s book about hope and friendship.

Hi, my name is Scott Spalding and I am the creator of ”The Adventures of Perry the Peruvian Tree Frog”, a heartfelt, funny, and imaginative children’s book that has been years in the making.

It all started with a playful song I wrote many years ago, long before I had children.

During the lockdown era, when I couldn’t read to my kids due to work commitments, I launched a YouTube channel to keep our family storytime alive. But when copyright issues limited what I could share, I decided to create something of my own, inspired by that original song (that can be heard Here.  )

That spark became a full story, and eventually, this book.

I’ve worked with a professional illustrator, who has done an absolutely fantastic job at turning some of my sketches into eye catching pages, and using his creative talent to come up with great things.

I own the full copyright to all illustrations and the book itself. I’ve printed proof copies, designed t-shirts, developed soft toys based on some of the characters, and registered a website and business email. Everything is in motion and I just need help to get over the final hurdle.

I am aiming on printing the first batch of 1,000 books (or more depending on money raised).

The funds will also be used to cover start-up legal and business costs, and begin marketing and distribution.

If I raise more than the target, I’ll use every extra penny to print more books, grow the reach of Perry’s World, and lay stronger foundations for what’s next, from future books to merchandise and more.

This story is just the beginning, and there are many more waiting to be written. Thank you so very much for helping me bring Perry’s World to life. It has been a remarkable journey so far, and I've loved learning as I go along.
